Honey Walnut Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 50g honey
  • 90g sugar
  • 170g flour
  • 5g baking powder
  • 100ml neutral oil
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 70g chopped walnuts

Ustensils

Preparating

In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, and honey until the mixture is light and frothy.

Add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts, and mix well.

Finally, add the grape seed oil and mix well.

Pour the batter into your cake pan.

Bake for 40 minutes at 180°C (check doneness with a knife; it should come out clean).

TIPS

Equipment tip:

Use a perforated stainless steel AIRSYSTEM cake pan for even baking and a crispy crust.

Recipe tips:

  • Place a thin strip of cold butter in the center of the batter for a nice split during baking.

  • For a more intense flavor, lightly toast the walnuts at 160°C for 10 minutes before adding them.

  • You can replace part of the honey with maple syrup for an autumnal touch.

  • The cake can be stored 4 to 5 days, well wrapped, at room temperature.
