The marbled pumpkin and chocolate cake

Ingredients

10-12 persons

for a GEOFORME mould  L.35cm, Ht 7.5cm

Pumpkin dough
  • 170 g wheat flour
  • 35 g melted butter
  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 160 g peeled pumpkin
  • 120 g whole eggs (2)
  • 80 g crème fraîche
  • 11 g baking powder
  • 1 g salt

Chocolate dough
  • 110 g wheat flour
  • 50 g melted butter
  • 170 g caster sugar
  • 30 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 180 g whole eggs (3)
  • 80 g crème fraîche
  • 3 g baking powder
  • 1 g salt

Instructions

Pumpkin dough
Cut the pumpkin into cubes. Steam it then mash it.
Mix the powdered ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Mix the eggs, pumpkin purée and cream together.
Add the powdered ingredients.
Finish by adding the butter.

Chocolate dough
Sift together the powdered ingredients: flour, cocoa and baking powder.
Mix the eggs with the salt and sugar. Add the cream.
Add the powdered ingredients.
Finish by adding the butter.

Cooking
Line your GEOFORME mould tin with baking paper.
Pour all the dough in, making sure you alternate the chocolate dough and the pumpkin dough.
Preheat your oven to 150°C and bake for 45 minutes.
Let the cake cool completely in the GEOFORME mould tin before releasing from the tin.
